Community Financial Literacy
Works in conjunction with the Financial Authority of Maine (FAME) to help immigrants and refugees to attain and pay for higher education. Also, as of January, 2018, they have a new, competitive, scholarship opportunity available to asylum seekers enrolled at SMCC who meet certain requirements.

Maine Keys Foundation
Works with immigrant communities, churches, and other local agencies to identify newly arriving immigrants with high school diplomas and help them navigate their way to college or university.

USM Promise Scholarship
The Promise Scholarship is designed to help disadvantaged young achievers from Maine overcome financial, academic, social, and cultural barriers, remain in school, and graduate in four years with little or no debt — prepared to make their own contributions to Maine’s social and economic well-being.
