Community Wellness and Transportation

In order to address social determinants of health issues, MANA’s Community Wellness and Transportation program provides wellness education and care centered rides to zero/low income community members as well as rides to grocery shopping using GA vouchers or EBT cards within one hour of Portland.

We Provide More Than Just A Ride

Our transportation program is community-driven, care-centered, trauma-informed and multilingual:

  • Community-driven means we respond to the ever changing transportation basic needs of the community (non emergency medical, social services, food access and immigration) in urban, sub-urban and rural areas. We also try to bridge other transportation gaps that include: School transportation for unhoused students on a daily basis or to special wellness programs, English classes and workforce development. Our Transportation is also paired with health and wellness education.

  • Care-centered means our staff are immigrants, have lived experience and are trained in Trauma Informed Care.

  • Multilingual means our staff speak more than 10 languages.
